Uber will add options for trains, buses, planes and car rentals

Uber seems ready to turn into a "super travel app". The company announced on Wednesday that it will present options for renting trains, buses, planes and cars in its British application this year.

Jamie Heywood, Uber's Regional Director General for the United Kingdom, said in a statement that Uber intends to be the single point of contact for all your travel needs. He further said:

With the Uber app, you can book rides, bikes, boat service, and scooters for years, so adding trains and buses is a natural step forward.

However, Uber does not provide all these travel services itself. However, this platform will allow users to make reservations through software integrations and collaboration with airlines, bus and rail operators and car rental companies.

According to the company, these new platform combinations will help improve application usage in the UK and compete with other competitors such as Bolt and Free. Given that the United Kingdom is the largest market for platforms outside the United States, it is natural that the platform seeks to build a loyal user base here. In addition, the plans also include allowing people to buy Eurostar train tickets through the app. It is worth noting that the announcement comes after the company's recent profit. On March 26, Uber received a 30-month continuation license in London, ending a long-running dispute with city regulators over whether the call application was "appropriate and correct."
