This Canadian Electric Car Earns Money When Parked

Image
This Canadian Electric Car Earns Money When Parked   Everyday companies come up with propositions for the electric vehicle (EV) arena that blur the lines between utility and novelty. While some EVs can crabwalk across the road or post ridiculous 0-100 km/h times, others are supposedly smart enough to actually make money. The latter feature is in a new Canadian EV prototype called the Daymak Spiritus. It is an all-electric three-wheeled car with the capability to mine several types of cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Dogecoin, while parked and idling. Mike Chow, the Vice President of Research and Development for Daymak Inc., posted the video of the EV’s first test drive via his social media and Youtube accounts. He is known for his work as an actor, stunt coordinator, and production manager in various Hollywood blockbusters such as The Day After Tomorrow, Pacific Rim, and Bulletproof Monk. The Suzuki Swift Might Be Launching Next Month

Image
The Suzuki Swift Might Be Launching Next Month   Pak Suzuki might be launching the new Swift next month, after more than a decade. This means that there are just a few days left until its launch.  For Pakistan, Suzuki will launch the Swift with a 1250cc, K12C dual jet inline-4 engine, connected to a 5-speed CVT or manual transmission, according to a report by Pakwheels. Despite the fact internationally Swift comes with a  1000cc turbo engine, Pakistan appears to be getting the 1250CC one Previously, Swift had a displacement of 1395cc, and owners had to pay a higher token tax amount, which to some extent, had an impact on its sales. Pakistani customers will now benefit from the 1250cc engine displacement as it will have a lower tax rate. According to reports, the price for the hatchback will fall between Rs. 2.7 million and Rs 2.8 million. If true, the price is a bit too high considering Changan Alsvin, Toyota Yaris, and the base variant of Honda City can be had with...

Al-Attiyah and his co-driver, Mathieu Baumel, won three stages of the incredibly tough rally raid event, including the introductory stage on New Year’s Day. He was never at risk of losing the lead despite Loeb’s two victories along the course. Toyota also won the twelfth and final stage through Henk Lategan of South Africa. This is Toyota Hilux’s second victory after Al-Attiyah’s previous victory in the 2019 edition. The Hilux, which has nothing in common with the production variant, was fully modified to comply with the new T1+ rules which allowed for bigger tires and wheels, as well as increased suspension travel. Honda Teases Vezel 2023 [Images]

Image
Honda Teases Vezel 2023 [Images] Honda recently released official artistic renderings of the subcompact 2023 HR-V crossover — the mini-SUV also known as Vezel for its Japanese assembled variants. While the visuals of the new HR-V conjure up thoughts of a snowy adventure, they are actually a first glimpse of the small, redesigned SUV that could be sold in the United States later this year. The 2023 HR-V will replace the current generation vehicle that has been in the market since 2014. Considering the images, it does not appear to share a body with the HR-V hybrid that was announced last year for the European market, implying that the US version will be bulkier. It is expected that the HR-V’s powertrain will be similar to that of the current Civic, offered with both the 158 hp naturally aspirated 2.0-liter and the Turbo 1.5-liter inline-four engine with 180 hp options. This will be a departure from the Fit-based underpinnings of the current model. The lineup could also get a hybrid...

The Sony’s Electic Car Can Be Driven From Another Country [Video]       Japanese tech giant Sony has collaborated with Vodafone to give life to the catchphrase ‘look ma, no hands’ and road-tested the Vision-S 01 electric vehicle (EV) sedan concept on a testing track in Germany controlled remotely from Japan. The experience appeared similar to a car video game; except now, it’s reality. The smartphone manufacturer has embraced the hype for EVs and is now showcasing and testing the capabilities of its high-tech vehicles. How it Worked The Vision-S 01 was successfully remote-controlled from Tokyo on a 5G connection and was driven on a custom-built circuit in Aldenhoven, 9,363 km away. The test driver in Tokyo sat at his desk with a three-monitor arrangement and was able to bring the EV up to speeds of 61 km/h (38 mph) with an accelerator pedal from what appears to be a gaming steering wheel arrangement. Interestingly, the setup also had a clutch pedal, but it was not n...
