Samsung will only manufacture Exynos chips for Galaxy phones

Earlier, South Korean Samsung did the most for producing SoC Exynos, such as Apple and Qualcomm chips. However, we must now acknowledge that this plan has failed. Two years later, Samsung decided to give up the Mongoose cores in favor of ARM cores. The company's latest flagship, the Exynos 2200, also includes a GPU that works with AMD. As you can see, the company has changed the way the chip is made. In addition, the new report indicates that it is considering changing the built-in ones to increase the efficiency of home processors.

The fact is that Exynos' place in the AP (utility processors) market is getting weaker. According to market research firm Technique Analytics, Samsung Electronics' share of the AP market was only 6.6% last year. This is much less than Qualcomm (37.7%), MediaTek (26.3%) and Apple (26%).

Exynos in the Galaxy only

Inews24 states that Samsung is planning complete chipsets for its smartphones. Samsung's System LSI division is in charge of chip production and is less carefully associated with Samsung's cellular division (called MX or Cellular eXperience).

These 2 models are in addition to the buyer-seller relationship. This simply means that the MX division is only an LSI buyer. Likewise, Samsung's chip manufacturing division not only manufactures chips for Samsung phones, but rather for different angles reminiscent of VIVO.

Samsung's President and CEO of MX TM Roh said that Samsung will now produce processors ideal for Galaxy phones. The plan was apparently revealed during the meeting when an employee asked how the company would resolve the Sport Optimization Service (CIS) dispute.

By the way, GOS has a pre-installed application on Samsung phones that prevents the system from overheating. It can show such an effect by reducing the efficiency of the mobile phone. After all, Samsung has been criticized for not allowing customers to deactivate the service. Later, however, the company enforced a compensation that would solve this problem. Errors will be corrected

The hottest Galaxy S22 Plus with GPS points. Apparently this only affects the Exynos dummy, not the Qualcomm Snapdragon eight dummy.

This part of Samsung seems to be ridiculous. We mean that Samsung can use the same approach to making chips as Apple. For Samsung, especially in the current chip shortage scenario, the production of chips for Galaxy phones should be more necessary than thinking about promoting them to various manufacturers. In addition, we cannot rule out the possibility that Samsung will work with Qualcomm or MediaTek to create new chips.
