We are back online after a DDoS attack.

The most popular video game in the world was hit by a massive DDoS this weekend. Players around the world cannot access the many weekend hours. This situation often affects players connected from North America and Europe.

The video game was finally put back online on Monday with all connection issues resolved. Global's official Twitter account was confirmed this morning. "ok the server is now stable and looks good! Hope this sabotage doesn't happen again. I'll keep you posted on the changes."

When the connection problem started on Friday, developer Innersloth attributed it to the Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack. A small group of designers spend most of the weekend solving the problem. One developer tweeted, "I can't believe I work on Saturdays. I have to go buy some croissants."

This is not the first time that Awesome Earth has been hit by cyberattacks. In 2020, hacker Eris Loris focused on video games with a spam campaign that reached 5 million viewers worldwide. This is around the same time that video games peaked.
