Punjab Minister for Health Dr. Yasmin Rashid on Monday announced that Punjab’s cancer hospitals are being empaneled in Naya Pakistan Qaumi Sehat Card Program.

The minister introduced this at the same time as chairing a meeting to review centers and services being supplied to cancer patients at the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education (SH&ME).

Special Secretary, Ajmal Bhatti, apprised the minister about steps taken in this regard, while professionals from the public and private hospitals shared their suggestions.

During the meeting, the minister directed the officers to expedite work at the finalization of PC-1 of oncology centers in 9 divisions.

“A contemporary centralized nerve middle is deliberate, and 12 cancer centers are being upgraded to govern cases and facilitate patients,” Dr. Yasmin stated.

The minister added that special publications for most cancers technologists could be released and cancer medical pointers would be issued.

Dr. Yasmin Rashid said that the department would once more evaluation the progress on tasks for most cancers sufferers after ten days.
