 IT Ministry Fails to Appoint Executive Director NITB in 8 Months

The National Information Technology Board (NITB) beneath the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) is without its administrative head as the ministry didn't appoint a new Executive Director (ED) within the last eight months.

Sources said that the IT Ministry had selected M/s Professional Employers Pvt. Ltd. As head-hunting firm for presenting their specialised services for the selection of ED NITB.

M/s Professional Employers Pvt. Ltd. Remained the a hit bidder because it got 96.50 marks, whereas M/s Abacus Els Pvt. Ltd. Secured 77.60, M/s Sidat Hyder Morshed Associates 79, and M/s NCBMS Pvt. Ltd. Were given 68.Eighty marks.

MoITT, within the Request for Proposal (RFP) record, cited that it intends to engage a head-looking firm for imparting their specialized offerings for the choice of Executive Director NITB (Salary Package: SPPS-I Scale viz: Rs. 1.5–2.00 million all-inclusive subject to ordinary taxes) for the powerful and efficient management of the board in an IT-driven environment.

It is pertinent to be aware that the NITB is working below the executive manage of the MoITT and is mandated to provide new revenue and cost-generating possibilities to the public sector organizations with a wide variety of technical steering in conjunction with advisory offerings for unique regions which include automation, design, improvement, and implementation.
