 Apple has stopped Russian Mir card users from paying with Apple Pay

Apple suspended the Apple Pay service on the Russian Mir payment system this week. This closed a gap that the Russians could bridge through Apple Pay. However, Mir playing cards are linked to Apple Pay, although Apple MasterCard and Visa cardholders have restricted the use of Apple Pay in Russia. Russia's national card fee system states that entry to Mir has been removed. He also claims that the Mir card will not work with Apple Pay in the coming days. "Apple has informed NSPK that it will lose support for Mir cards as part of the Apple Pay payment service. From March 24, customers will not be able to add new Mir cards to the service. Apple will stop supporting Mir cards for the next few days and all operations for added cards, "she told NSPK on Friday.

Apple Pay Assistant for the Mir payment system was launched in July 2021. Mir is the national payment system in Russia and 150 banks provide Mir cards. Apple stopped using Apple Pay in Russia on March 1 and also stopped all gross product sales in the country. ITunes and App Retailer purchases will stop on March 10.
